For more than 50 years, relationships are at the heart of everything we do at Jaffe and that extends to supporting our communities during challenging times.

We are saddened by the recent death of George Floyd, a 46 year-old, unarmed black man.  This is far from the only incident of its kind. It is part of a very long history, not just of discrimination, but of brutal violence against people of color.  That history cannot be allowed to continue, and Americans in dozens of cities and in millions of homes have stood up and said that things must change.

At Jaffe, we unequivocally condemn all forms of racism, bigotry and injustice, including the brutal deaths we have witnessed, and we affirm our solidarity with all who strive, in a peaceful and constructive manner, to end racism, bigotry and injustice.

Each of us is responsible for understanding how our actions—and inaction—sustain systemic racism and prejudice in our society.  As our community opens up again, we cannot simply go back to normal.  Silence and inaction won’t bring about change, and we cannot be afraid to have uncomfortable conversations about these painful issues.  We are looking internally to determine how we can better support each other to speak out about this injustice, and to consider how we can individually and collectively create change.
