Overview
Michael Weil is an attorney in our Tax and Estate & Wealth Planning practice groups. He specializes in tax planning for individuals and businesses, as well as trust administration. He uses his combined skills as an experienced attorney and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to create tax-effective estate plans and business succession plans for high-net-worth individuals and business owners. His extensive background in general tax matters serves as a foundation for the tax analysis and research he conducts within estate planning. He works hand-in-hand with his clients to thoroughly understand their business, their goals, and how their needs can best be met with the most favorable tax results, both immediately and into the future. When challenges arise, Michael is a trusted partner to his clients and is willing to give the time and personal attention that the matter demands. Developing that personal connection with his client is at the forefront of his relationships.
In addition to being active in the Metro Detroit community, Michael has been a frequent presenter on various wealth preservation and transfer topics, including estate planning after tax reform and domestic asset protection trust planning in Michigan.
