Lisa Starita is an attorney in our Electronic Payments Law and Privacy & Data Security practice groups. She focuses her practice on payments compliance and contractual issues involving money transmitters, payment facilitators, mobile application payment providers, independent sales organizations, sponsorship and licensing agreements, and agent bank and association contracts. She does considerable work on merchant agreements, non-disclosure agreements, asset purchase deals including selling technology, and ISO’s. She has first-hand experience with buyouts, giving her a greater perspective of due diligence issues facing each side of the table.

Lisa’s expertise includes money transmission and payment facilitator requirements, including the complex compliance matters that vary state by state, privacy and data security including GDPR, and risk mitigation. Always thinking proactively, Lisa is an active contributor to our Electronic Payments blog.

Prior to joining Jaffe, Lisa was vice-president and counsel of privacy and legal compliance at Merchant Customer Exchange, LLC in Boston, MA where she responsible for all activities, training, policies, and procedures related to organizational compliance and privacy programs.
