Overview

John Decker leads our Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions practice groups and is also a member of our Emerging & Growth Business practice group, working closely with our Tax-Exempt Organizations & Impact Investing group. He specializes in complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, private equity and venture capital investments, cross-border transactions, general contracts, and securities. John represents a diverse client base ranging from individual entrepreneurs and professional athletes to private equity firms, private foundations, and global businesses. He serves as outside general counsel to several firm clients in support of their day-to-day and strategic, long-term operations. John has been with Jaffe since 2003 and also serves on our Recruiting Committee and Finance Committee.

  • Represented Dürr Ecoclean, Inc., a subsidiary of Dürr AG, a global mechanical and plant engineering firm based in Germany, in the sale of its Filtration Systems and Products Group to strategic buyer
