Alexander Shiffman

Alexander Shiffman is an attorney in our Mergers & Acquisitions and Securities & Corporate Governance practice groups, working closely with our Emerging & Growth Business and Finance practice groups.

Alex focuses on advising clients in complex, tax-driven transactions with a specialization in real estate and private equity investment. Alex works with clients to tailor transaction structures to meet specific tax objectives, whether by minimizing gain, deferring income altogether, or otherwise crafting the maximum tax advantage for their unique circumstances. His clients include corporations (public and private), partnerships, other pass-through entities, and individuals.

Prior to joining Jaffe, Alex served as an associate at Paul Hastings LLP of New York where he represented large, institutional clients on a variety of complex transactional matters in the areas of leveraged finance, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions.
