SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Oct. 20, 2022 – Michigan Lawyers Weekly recently named Sam Schiffer, attorney and partner at Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, a member of the 2022 class of “Leaders in the Law.” Jaffe CEO Mark Cooper made the announcement.

“With over a decade of service, Sam has established an impressive track record of success and has played an instrumental role in Jaffe’s growth,” Cooper said. “Sam has consistently proven to be an invaluable leader at our firm and a resource for our clients. We are proud to celebrate his achievements.”

The “Leaders in the Law” honorees have made outstanding contributions to the practice of law in Michigan and set an example for other lawyers. They have shown tremendous leadership and offer a wealth of expertise in diverse areas of the law.

As the chair of Jaffe’s Real Estate practice group, Sam has developed extensive expertise in real estate law—concentrating on acquisitions, dispositions, financing and leasing of commercial, retail and hospitality properties. Throughout his career, he has represented various clients, including a national co-working company, national and regional developers and investors and more, in real estate transactions throughout the United States.

In addition, Sam has supported emerging talent, serving as a mentor to several Jaffe associates since becoming a firm partner in 2018. Sam’s mentorship has guided young attorneys through the early stages of their careers by offering professional counsel and support.

Sam graduated with honors from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Outside of the office, Sam serves on Michigan State University’s Hillel Board of Directors.
