Jaffe Hires Boutell, Low, Mittleman and Vance as Associates
SOUTHFIELD, MICH. – Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, P.C. a leading Michigan business law firm, recently hired Kristiana Boutell, Benjamin Low, Max Mittleman, and Bridget Vance as associates. The new associates expand Jaffe’s Corporate, Family Law, Litigation, Privacy & Data Security and Real Estate Practice Groups. Jaffe CEO Jeffrey Weiss made the announcement.
Boutell joined Jaffe’s Family Law and Litigation Practice Groups. Prior to law school, Boutell interned and clerked for Judge Daniel A. O’Brien in the Oakland County Probate Court, we well as clerked for Judge Karen D. McDonald in the Family Division of the Oakland County Circuit Court. She earned her Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Michigan State University (MSU) College of Law. During her time at MSU, she was a member of the Michigan State Law Review, where she served as senior notes editor, and a member of Appellate Moot Court. Boutell also completed the Child and Family Advocacy Certificate Program through MSU College of Law. She earned a bachelor degree in law & economics, and entrepreneurship and minored in legal studies and professional sales from Central Michigan University.
Low joined Jaffe’s Litigation and Privacy & Data Security Practice Groups, where he will represent businesses and individuals in all areas of business litigation. Prior to joining Jaffe, Low served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Matthew F. Leitman of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He earned his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Wayne State University (WSU) Law School, where he was the recipient of several scholarships, the Bronze Key Certificate, Silver Key Certificate, and Faculty Award. Low earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and history from the University of Michigan Dearborn.
Mittleman joined Jaffe’s Real Estate and Privacy & Data security Groups, where he will concentrate his practice on providing legal services in the areas of commercial, industrial, retail and residential real estate to private and institutional developers, builders, management companies, real estate brokers and individuals. He earned his Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from MSU College of Law, where he was a recipient of the Trustee Scholarship, served as executive editor of the International Law Review and as a member of the Trial Practice Institute. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in interdisciplinary studies from MSU.
Vance joined Jaffe’s Corporate Practice Group, where she will concentrate her practice on general corporate matters and transactional work, including mergers and acquisitions, and assisting emerging companies. She earned her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from WSU Law School, where she served as an editor of the Wayne Law Review and was recognized as a Governor’s Scholar for high academic achievement. During law school, Vance earned a first-place award for drafting in the Transactional Law Competition, as well as the Alan Schenk Award for excellent performance in Business Planning: A Transactional Approach. Vance earned her Bachelor’s degree Phi Beta Kappa with distinction from the University of Michigan.
