Jaffe Partner Mark L. Kowalsky Named Co-Practice Group Coordinator for Jaffe's Litigation Practice Group (Monday, June 27, 2011)

Mark L. Kowalsky, a partner in the Southfield office of Michigan-based Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, P.C., has been appointed co-practice group coordinator of the Firm's Litigation Practice Group. Jaffe CEO Richard Zussman made the announcement.

The practice group coordinator is responsible for supporting the practice and business development needs of the litigation group to include prioritizing and managing the caseload, adjusting to changing priorities, managing multiple projects with specific deadlines, and complete tasks under time pressure as necessary.

Mr. Kowalsky is a partner in the Southfield office of Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss. He is a member of the Firm's Litigation and Securities Practice Groups, specializing in civil litigation with concentrations in securities law and commercial disputes. He is routinely involved in handling disputes that relate to securities investments, brokerage industry employment, contracts, non-competition agreements, trade secrets, employment, shareholders, partnerships and dissolutions. He also represents clients in securities enforcement and regulatory matters.

Mr. Kowalsky is a member and former chair for the Greater West Bloomfield Cable Communications Commission and a board member and past President of The Jewish Home and Aging Services. He has been named Corporate Counsel Super Lawyer each year since 2008 as well as a Super Lawyer by Michigan Super Lawyers Magazine each year since 2006. Mr. Kowalsky earned his Bachelor's degree with high distinction and high honors from the University of Michigan and is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School.
