Lawrence R. Jordan Named Ann Arbor's "Lawyer of the Year" for 2011 by Best Lawyers (Wednesday, February 16, 2011)

Lawrence R. Jordan, shareholder with Southfield, Mich.-based Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, P.C., has been named Ann Arbor's "Lawyer of the Year" for 2011 in the categories of intellectual property litigation, copyright law and trademark law by Best Lawyers. Jaffe CEO Richard Zussman made the announcement.

Mr. Jordan serves as group coordinator of the Firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group with more than 30 years experience focusing in the areas of trademark, copyright, licensing, information technology, Internet, publishing and entertainment law. He is also managing shareholder of the Firm's Ann Arbor office.

He has been consecutively listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 2005 and in Michigan Super Lawyers Magazine since 2006, in which he was named a "Top 100 Attorney" in 2009. Mr. Jordan currently serves on the Board for the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, is a lifetime member of the Friends of the Ann Arbor Library and a lifetime Fellow of the Michigan State Bar Foundation. He is also past Chair of the Computer Law Section, and of the Arts, Communications, Entertainment and Sports Section of the State Bar of Michigan. He is a frequent lecturer with the Institute for Continuing Legal Education (I.C.L.E.) on intellectual property, technology law, and related subjects.
