Durbin Amendment Regulation Webinar (Friday, January 14, 2011)

The Jaffe Electronic Payments Group will present a webinar in conjunction with the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA). The webinar will cover the regulations proposed by the Federal Reserve Board to implement the Durbin Amendment debit interchange fee, network exclusivity, and merchant routing restrictions.

The Federal Reserve Board requested extensive comment on the proposal. We encourage all industry participants to submit comments, as that provides the greatest opportunity to influence the final governing regulations.

See below to register. If you would like more information or assistance in preparing comments, please contact Holli Targan at htargan@jaffelaw.com.

Learn How You Can Influence the Debit Fee Regulations

The Durbin Amendment Deconstructed
The first in an ETA webinar series

Date: Friday, January 14, 2011
Time: 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM EDT

Part 1: "Federal Reserve Board Proposed Debit Regulations," will describe the Federal Reserve Board proposed regulations implementing the Durbin Amendment. It will set the stage by summarizing the Durbin Amendment law, will explain the regulatory comment process, and will then explore the content of the regulations, enabling participants to get a sneak peek at what the final regulations may require. Participants will understand those areas of the proposed regulations on which the Federal Reserve Board has requested input. This will enable attendees to be better prepared to influence the final regulations by submitting comments to the Federal Reserve Board before the final regulations are released.

Part 2: "Federal Reserve Board Final Debit Regulations," will take place after the final regulations are released. It will explain the substance of the final regulations once they are published, currently projected to take place after April, 2011.
