Megan E. Borland

Megan E. Borland is a paralegal in the Southfield office of Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss. She is a member of the Firm's Estate Planning and Tax Practice Groups. Prior to joining Jaffe in 2006, Megan practiced accounting and tax preparation for 11 years at a Michigan-based accounting firm.

Her responsibilities at Jaffe include preparation and review of estate and trust accountings, preparation and review of estate and trust tax returns, coordination of the sale/transfer of assets to estate beneficiaries and obtaining federal identification numbers. Ms. Borland is an Enrolled Agent (EA) with Internal Revenue Service, which allows her to act as Power of Attorney for clients and assist them in the resolution of tax issues before the IRS. She is also a notary.

Megan earned her Bachelor' degree in business administration from Berea College and is a graduate of Walsh College, where she received her Master of Science degree in Taxation.
