Matthew Murphy is a partner in the Southfield office of Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss. He is a member of the Firm's Business Transactions Group, specializing in corporate, securities, and mergers and acquisitions law.
He advises both public and private entities in all aspects of formation, governance and operation. His general business practice includes the documentation and negotiation of mergers, acquisitions, sales and purchases of businesses, and financings, and structuring corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. Matt's securities law practice includes the preparation of registration statements for initial public offerings, secondary offerings and mergers, proxy statements and other filings.
Matt earned a Bachelor's degree with honors from Michigan State University and is a graduate of University of Chicago Law School.
