Ilene K. Zaitouna

Ilene K. Zaitouna is an associate in the Southfield office of Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss. She is a member of the firm's Immigration Practice Group

Prior to joining Jaffe, Zaitouna served as an associate at a local law firm in Troy, Michigan where she prepared and filed nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions for individuals with extraordinary ability, multinational managers or executives, and preference petitions for professionals.

Zaitouna has also served as a legal volunteer for the CARA Family Detention Pro Bono Project, as well as a legal intern at Human Rights First, Forbes Media LLC, Gell & Gell and the Law Offices for Mekani, Orow, Mekani, Shallal & Hindi PC. She also served as a judicial intern to Justice David F. Viviano of the Macomb County Circuit Court.

Ilene earned her Bachelor's degree in political theory and constitutional democracy from Michigan State University's James Madison College and her Juris Doctor degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York where she was a Dean's Merit Scholarship recipient and participated in the Paulson Moot Court Competition, Business Law Society, Heyman In-house Council Program, Immigration Law Field Clinic and the Immigration Advocacy Clinic.
