New Associates
Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, unlike many other business law firms hires new associates into the "Firm," not into a specific department or practice area. Jaffe has a non-mandatory rotation program for first and second year associates. It is designed to help match the particular interests of our new associates with the needs of the Firm and allow new associates the flexibility of learning about and experiencing different areas of the law.We provide an environment that allows for a fast track to significant responsibility. New associates can expect immediate involvement in complex legal matters with immediate opportunities for individual responsibility. They are encouraged to assume primary responsibility for matters early in their careers under the supervision of more senior attorneys.
The Firm also invests heavily in formal and informal training programs for new lawyers. We provide regular informal training programs that range from "nuts and bolts" programs at the practice group level to more advanced in-house courses taught by experienced legal practitioners. New associates also attend seminars outside the office. All attorneys are required to attend at least one outside seminar every 18 months.
Jaffe is an equal opportunity employer, and all employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, height, weight, and marital or familial status, in accordance with local, state and federal laws.
