Southfield,  MI - March 26, 2008  - Elliot A. Spoon, who serves in an of counsel capacity for Michigan-based Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, P.C., has been appointed by the Federal Housing Finance Board as a Public Interest Director on the Board of Directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis.  Jaffe CEO Richard Zussman made the announcement.

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis is one of 12 regional banks that make up the Federal Home Loan Bank System.  Federal Home Loan Banks are government-sponsored enterprises created by Congress to ensure access to low-cost funding for their member financial institutions.

Mr. Spoon graduated with high honors from the University of Michigan and is a cum laude graduate of the University of Michigan Law School where he served as a member of the University of Michigan Journal of Law Reform.

An active member of many bar associations and legal committees, Mr. Spoon is a member of the Board of Directors of the Children's Center of Wayne County and the Michigan State University Hillel.  He is also a professor at Michigan State University College of Law.
