Jay practices in the general business and transactional areas, with a specific expertise in the bankruptcy, insolvency and creditors' right fields. Jay has represented many debtors, unsecured creditors' committees, secured creditors and lessors in out-of court forbearance, workout and composition arrangements, as well as within bankruptcy proceedings. He also advises many companies on minority joint venture arrangements and their compliance with minority business enterprise qualifications and requirements. Jay has served as chair and co-chair of the Firm's bankruptcy and financial services practice groups. He is past-chair of the Bankruptcy Section of the Commercial Law League of America and currently co-chairs its legislative committee. Jay is also an active member of the Equipment Leasing Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
