Attorney Jeffrey Belen, Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss PC, Southfield, Michigan

Jeffrey is an associate in the Firm's Estate Planning/Probate Group. He is a 1999 graduate of the University of Wisconsin and received his J. D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2002. Prior to joining Jaffe, Jeffrey was an International Tax Consultant with Deloitte Tax LLP. He also practices in the area of obtaining tax-exempt status for non-profit charitable entities. He has created numerous 501(c)(3) organizations, ranging from private foundations to operating public charities, and has spent considerable time working with the founders and directors of these organizations in order to assist them in meeting the administrative requirements necessary to maintain their 501(c)(3) status as a tax-exempt charitable entity.
