Ira J. Jaffe

Mr. Jaffe represents clients in general corporate, partnership, limited liability and related matters including financings, restructurings, securities and other commercial transactions. He provides mergers and acquisitions counsel for large publicly and privately held corporations as well as start-up ventures. Mr. Jaffe is recognized as one of the leading creative business and real estate planners, being retained frequently to solve complex family/partnership disputes, distressed financial situations and entity expansion and sale transactions, providing a combination of legal and management skills to assist estates and roll up acquisition companies. He also serves as the Trustee, Chairman, President and CEO of client related entities, including President of The Crawford Group, Past President and presently Chairman of REDICO, Chairman of the Board of the Fred A. & Barbara M. Erb Family Foundation and President of The Fisher Group. Mr. Jaffe's community activities include: Cranbrook Educational Community, Vice Chairman 1999-2005, Trustee 1991-2005; Cranbrook Institute of Science, Governor 1988-present, Chairman 1991-1999; Detroit Zoological Society, Board; Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Corporate Development Committee Member; McGregor Fund, Trustee; Wayne State University Center for the Study of Citizenship, Executive Board.
